Walnut Ridge Vineyards is nestled in the foothills of Allegheny Mountains. The soil and climate are considered to be more similar to the famous growing regions of Italy. Our vines were planted in 2001, and our first harvest was in 2003. The maturity of the vines was not really reached until 2005. Below is a description of our current wine list:

Our Wines

Our 2010 BLANC is a blend of Catawba grapes. It is a medium bodied grape with moderate acidity and Vidal grapes developed by a French breeder in the 1930 Jean Louis Vidal. Our 2010 BLANC is a light white dinner wine with hints of fruit and peppery undertones that would be great as an everyday wine or for any celebration or event. 12.5% alcohol by volume.




 

Our 2008 RESERVE wine is a blend of Frontenac grapes, a French grape, and Foch grapes, a French hybrid. Our 2008 RESERVE wine has a velvety red rich cherry undertones developed and enriched while aging in French Oak barrels for up to 2 years that can be as an everyday wine or at any fine dining celebration or event. 12% alcohol by volume.



 

Our Intensity wine just beccome available as of May 2012. It is a masterful blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Frontenac and Foch grapes. We have been able to capture the best qualities of all 4 grapes and come up with an exceptionally drinkable wine that can be served as a everday wine or as a compliment to any fine dining event or celebration. 12% alcohol by volume.



 

Our Red Rooster Bloody Mary Mix is the only Bloody Mary Mix that uses 100% Heirloom Tomatoes. Grown on our farms in Pennsylvania and after years of development, we settled on seven succulent varieties of heirloom tomatoes which together create the most flavorful and delicious Bloody Mary Mix ever put into a bottle.

 

We have a desert wine that will be comming out soon, which has not been named or bottled as of yet. It is made with Catawba grapes and will be great as an after dinner wine.

Our wines are those of the best in the country.  With a wonderful mix of our best grapes in the vineyard you cannot go wrong when choosing our products.
